Ther are several important tourist places in and arround kumta.Kumta was once upon time important centre for export of chilly as well as sufari.This Airport will help asgriculturists to market their products to mumbai and other cities.     I just love this place. It is almost the hub of youth activity. I forget the owner's name but he is one helll of a funny guy and keeps the mood up all the time ... Available here: Juice, chips, local snacks, candy, chocolate, hot beverages and last but definitely not the least - Cigarettes!!!
